   It's an old wanted behaviour. We offer our custom export / import which works between fdroid and Google releases.

     Out of the Official Mastodon #Android client , @Tusky , @tooot , @apps and @megalodon only Megalodon appears to support the Android backup/restore mechanism to allow accounts/configurations to be easily copied to a new phone.
