     You're not gonna like my opinion here but yes, I literally believe AI can look better than even the worst of human art. To me, it says more about the quality of the human art if it was that easily beaten by soulless AI slop (and yes I will agree with you that its soulless). As it pertains to my original post, these are two soulless art styles being pitted against each other, so of course I'm on the side of the one that looks better.
     I've said this about corposlop before AI was a thing and I'll re-state it here: its soulless and worthless and ugly and garbage, made by talentless people that I would never want to share a room with, nobody would miss it if it were gone and instead breathe a sigh of relief that they never have to see it again.

     Same goes for AI art and traditional one.

     back in the day when actual artists spent tens of hours on a piece and the patron paid them hundreds of dollars, the cost of corporate memphis art (several dollars, an hour, and a fiverr jeet's soul (also of negligible value)) looks cheap in comparison and are rightly looked down upon
     
     with AI art costing several cents' worth of tokens, some people now argue corporate memphis is now worthy in comparison
     
     for me comparing between 0.00000002 and 0.000000005 is a waste of time and i ignore both types of art

     I agree, its disheartening to see my parents get one shot by AIslop videos on their facebook
     Every so often my mom will send me a video of an AI cat and go "look this one looks just like our cat" and its clearly a video thats way too detailed in that uncanny sort of way.
     But like Spooke said earlier in this thread, AI is a pandora's box thats already been opened, even if all datacenters were to just vanish into thin air tomorrow I'd still be able to make videos like this and post them.
     You just know any regulation they make restricting AI use will be about israel or whatever.
