      We must make something from it. Something for the elderly.

      @zoowar This replacement thing sounds good. But I'm not sure if I'd be fine with having those (of course impressive) special teeth on both sides of my head.

      @morph @windigo @navigium @chalkahlom @chillicampari The "Sixteenth Tooth" Club
      Mastodons didn't have all their teeth at once. They had a "conveyor belt" system (horizontal tooth replacement).
      Mastodons have a total of 6 teeth in each jaw quadrant over their lifetime.
      A senior Mastodon is identified by the M3 (third molar).
      When the M3 is heavily worn down to the roots, the animal is considered an advanced adult or elderly.

      @morph @windigo @navigium @chalkahlom @chillicampari @ghostdancer If we did, there would be a subculture of tusk modifiers who would have all sorts of interesting things carved into them. aka Scrimshaw, Netsuke, or even Chryselephantine. Finally, Elephantinos (ἐλεφάντινος) is the specific Ancient Greek adjective that describes something as being "made of ivory."
