      Im so used to it tho, I dont even really think about it. Just soak stuff in the sink and wash it down by hand.

      Ive got this tiny ass Euro fridge too lol, but it leaves room for the grill and air fryer.

      I feel like a lot of people don't understand how much wood is involved in a great kitchen. Aside from some things that can be hard to clean, I cut on wood boards as well. I have a good commercial poly for things like fish just to play it safe on smell so it can go in the dishwasher, but I probably should worry less.

      @Leyonhjelm @jb Totally, I have a great wooden cutting board, thing rocks.

      Good chefs knife too.

      In my youth I worked in a few restaurants, which sucked but I did learn an awful lot about food prep and whatnot.

      I have to wash everything by hand because I dont have a washer, my kitchen is one of those East Coast shoeboxes so everything is stacked in weird ways, but Ive gotten really good at making it work

      Im kind of a kitchen geek, Ill splurge on certain things like that.

      I realized I was an actual adult when I was excited to get the freaking Williams Sonoma catalog lol

      I have a salad bowl I need to restore that my dad made in wood shop. Fifty plus years of age did not do the wood glue used for the design well, I need to do some filling, resanding, and oil it. Nice lathe work, though. I kind of hate to have to do it but it's pretty rough after all these years.

      Soups that don't have delicate ingredients like potatoes, I make big batches and freeze them in portions. Potatoes tend to fall apart more than things like carrots and celery.

      Yeah. It's a basic potato soup with sausage and kale. Hard to fuck up.

      Places where I live are so small that its way easier to just do it the old fashioned way.

      If my wife weren't so insistent on using it I wouldn't. I find it less convenient than hand washing. I have to load it, unload it, and come back later after it ran. When I had to hand wash I just cleaned things as soon as I was done.

      @judgedread @ins0mniak I went onto GreatSchools dot org and looked at all of the Elementary Schools in the areas that looked nice enough, then brought up their "Diversity" Scale. 0%-100%. They award "Good Grades" and "Failing Grades".

      I picked hardest, failingest area that was available. Something like 5% diversity. And all of the surrounding schools were the same.

      They have tools, but we can use their own tools against them.

      Go into MickyD's and look at the demographics of the customers and crew.

      So Olive Garden and Chilis hereabouts are perfectly safe.
