Trying to get a job is the dumbest possible shit. What do you mean you have to prove you're worthy of LABOR?!

@RickiTarr I applied for a job this morning where the application asked "Why do you want to work at XXXXX?"

@sand @RickiTarr This whole fakery, they even asked me this when I applied for a job as forklift driver in a warehouse full of toilet paper. Yeah man, it's always been my dream to provide the world with shit ribbon.

I went to their website's 'ABOUT' page and wrote "Because I agree with the company's vision of ...."
You ask BS questions, you'll get BS answers.

@peteriskrisjanis @marcotietz @RickiTarr So from my perspective, employers get hundreds of applications. The quickest way to weed out applications is to qualify them by asking questions.
If you fail to answer a question, your resume gets tossed. Didn't follow the company on social? Tossed. Anything that looks ridiculous, is just another qualifier.
Hiring takes up so many hours and requires many resources. Weeding people out, regardless of quality, speeds up the process.

@marcotietz @sand @RickiTarr I still wonder why employers ask this question.

@marcotietz @peteriskrisjanis @RickiTarr YES
AND AND AND - Job postings lie all the time. So if you want to stand any chance, you gotta lie on your application.
Just enough to get an interview. Then you can seduce them with your wit, charm and sexual chemistry.

@sand @peteriskrisjanis @RickiTarr sad but true. It's all part of the game. You want to play? Follow the traditions. You write up your cover letter with AI, someone else on the receiving end summarizes it with AI. The circle of life ;)
