Plus I loathe having to setup a Linux desktop with all of the command prompts, it would be great to have a Native AI in a distro to do all of the setup commands for me

@nihilvt I thought everyone hates adobe now and uses alternatives? Also popOS hasnt had a new version in 3 years now... Just use kubuntu or smth. Either way I have elementaryOS too and the only "command" I use is the update command. Nothing else. I open steam and I game. If you want my setup just use this script and youll have all the same shit as I do: https://github.com/igeljaeger/update-repo/blob/main/update
On Kubuntu or Ubuntu or whatever the "normal people" would use, you dont even need that. Just update when the icon pops up, graphically. -

@teto@cawfee.club well I used PopOS when it was still being updated like maybe 4 years ago? I hate Adobe too but I just can't get into DaVinci as much as I've tried and then I would still need a Photoshop alternative and I refuse to use GIMP ever again, Affinity Photo also lacked a bunch of features I like. I might setup a VM to play with Linux and see if I can just delete my Windows and move on

@porkcow @teto @nihilvt @EdBoatConnoisseur @sapphire yeah zzz for me requires a special app (sleepy launcher) which in turn due to issues required setting a special wine version within the app, and you'd either have to guess by trial and error or you'd hear in the discord which one to use. That said, genshin impact requires only wine, even vanilla one. The gacha I do play, wuthering waves, runs fine on proton from steam, all it requires is editing the launch option to add steamOS=1 as a env var. This is not necessary on the actual steamOS or any OS that sets that beforehand.
but yeah, troubleshooting so much does get tiring. -

Also its hard to agree for me since I come from stubborn people. I finished a racing game with 15 fps or lower woth stutters on a 2013 laptop ages ago. -
