     @Humpleupagus @C_J_S @alessmussolini88 My theory is that our brains have mental fields that can interact with each other at short distances. This is why it's so intense to be in a crowd at political rally or a concert, and why people often act differently when in a crowd. This would also mean it's possible to read minds and influence other people thoughts, although the other person may interpret them as their own, and vice versa. I believe this is also why you can "sense" if a person is nearby, even if you don't see, hear, or smell them.

     Here's the interesting part. Just because you have a thought doesn't entail you created it. People hear other people's thoughts all the time and think they're the origin, because there's no tag on them that says "this is Ralph's thought." This is also how people learn, including language. A child does not learn to chop up an undivided world because a parent points and grunts. They learn because of the combination of the pointing and grunting and thinking of the parent. They see what the parent is thinking while connecting the pointing and grunting with the object. Some people are more "sensitive" than others.

     I'm a pantheist. All things are conscious in their own ways. Human consciousness is just one form.
     
     One interesting thought experiment to this extent is does the body move the self around the world or does it move the world around the self.
     
     To me the latter seems more reasonable as there is some part of us that exists outside of time or space, but has the experience of it. The way I think about it, as an analogy from experience, is that the experience of the wall being six feet across the room is not itself at a distance. It is immediately present and lacks any spatial dementionality in and of itself. It is in the immediately present state of "being-six-feet-away".
     
     I can then navigate that experience to bring it closer or farther, but because the experience itself is never spatial, some part of me never moved. I moved the world.
