   Many are blaming "Linux" users on tthe Duckstation debacle but you have to remember that 99% of emulator developers are as unstable as a woman in her period. They will crash out and burn their entire work if their ego is not stroke and they hate having to engage with their users.

     @hfaust The problem is the guy running duck station later withdrew his statements on his discord, and said he just doesn't want people to package software in ways he doesn't like
     
     I dunno how a guy like that managed to get a CS degree (According to his github) and still act like software isn't something that just gets copied and distributed at all times. Never mind the fact he doesn't do any of the Linux stuff because, as he admits it, he doesn't use Linux, so it's just other maintainers doing compatibility on their own time and dime.
     
     Not to mention his whole change of license gimmick that got him angry because people were doing forks, acting like he's not on github. It's as if he doesn't really know how it works, despite having a CS degree.
     
     It's a problem common to Windows-only developers (Or Mac-only, I guess), really. They fully absorb Microsoft's way of doing things even though they don't gain anything from it, and they just keep going.

     @SuperSnekFriend @hfaust @Iffine @wan Solus is fine, if you want "it just works" everyday distro, with neither hassle, nor technological debt of Debian. It's currently independent, but soon(ish) to be rebased on AerynOS. Some "easy" Arch derivates are somewhat bearable too (I use EndeavourOS on my work computers), if you don't thinker too much with them.

     I'm getting rid of Ubuntu ASAP, but I don't exactly know what I want to adopt for my desktop. I'm still going to use Fedora for a little longer on my newer laptop, and I'm probably going to try BSD with my old one.

     @SuperSnekFriend @hfaust @Iffine Not so much of a conspiracy theory, but Linux and other AutismOS users statistics are bound to be underestimated by design. Thus, realistically we are already way past "officially" estimated ~5 % of market share on desktop. On the other hand, I'm actually not too fond of more normies switching to linux. They will somehow ruin it like everything else, and we will be forced to switch to :basedfish: to still get amenable computing experience. :cocoasqueamish:

He acts so above everyone else despite always being an ass. "I'm doing Linux users a favor by removing the official linux building tools from the source code." :flan_tired: I get making an emulation of a complex piece of hardware for free takes a complete absence of sanity, but can't emulator devs just be perverted or something instead of having paranoia and a god complex?

     @SuperSnekFriend @hfaust If you want a long story short, he's a sperg who has decided he wants to stop all linux builds because of receiving support requests from linux users. Specifically Arch linux because it's using an older build before he switched to a "I want to be closed source but I'm afraid of backlash" license. He has a history of acting like this over any minor inconvenience or case where people don't treat him as god.
     
     Sadly it's still probably one of the best PSX emulators in existence.
