   Phone screen finally gave up. This goddamn hick town, nothing's open on a Saturday. My first thought was "Do these people take time off work if they have to fix their phones?" But it's a Walmart town: people just throw shit away and buy a new one.
   
   Did manage to procure a burger.

     Many such cases. Usually it's impossible to get a replacement screen if you don't own one of the new-ish flagship phones. Even Ali{express,baba} sometimes doesn't have them.

     Completely foreign to me. Last time I was in a hick zone for very long, they tended to work harder at keeping shit running than people in a large city. Feels like even the houses out here are single-use disposables.

     @dsm @p @ForbiddenDreamer most phone companies don't like handing out landlines anymore, I think your best bet is to get a SIP account and an analog adapter. I got a rotary phone hooked up to mine and it's awesome. SIP rates are cheap as hell too, literal pennies on the dollar per minute.

     i even documented it in the submissions and put comments explicitly for that and the teacher praised the good documentation
