     Yes, the US press (especially the NYT and WaPo) has normalized his lies (sorry, things said "without evidence"), his racism (sorry, "his long-held fascination with genes and genetics"), and his illegal actions (sorry, actions that "some judges say are illegal").

     They've helped "polite," "neutral tone," and "civil discourse" us into fascism.

     Trump is a cunt.

     Agreed, and I would go a bit further. I think Trump has vigorously exploited tendencies toward civility as he seized ever more power.

     It's been more than 10 years now that his firehose of awfulness has been met by Democrats mostly with the quiet decorum of the previous era. At the same time the media has both-sides and filtered and sanewashed to appear fair.

     I firmly believe that if we had all followed Godley's example (in October 2016!) the world would be much better off.

     @llanciawn @Wen Her sign says “Trump is a runt.” Her hand is covering part of the letter R. To be fair, she did originally have a sign where that word began with a C, but the police told her she couldn’t display it and so she created this one instead.

     Anyway, to sink to Trump’s level you’d have to rape many women & girls, commit fraud with billions of dollars, destroy democracy, and send people abroad to be tortured. Compared to that, worrying about the C-word seems quaint.
