     @GottaLaff Yup. and fediverse is NOT the place for anyone to compete for followers count. IMO, it was designed to avoid that, and everyone knows it.

     So true, in particular if you made followership by request only to avoid bots, primarily from #Russia.

     I get dozens of requests per day, but have to decline most.

     After climbing quickly last year, my follower count has (net) stagnated.

     The #Technofeudalist platforms are threatened by this anarchic, decentralized system. If I were Elmo or Zuck, I'd devise a way to take the #Fediverse down.

     No matter what the platform, really. I mean, people do, but for me, it's about sharing info. More followers means I'm able to share legit news to more people, but that's about it.
