   Technology can be political, but not all politics has to do with technology.

     @Gina @khm @lulu @hipsterelectron @aburka You realize that "cw your politics" has pretty much become a meme about how Mastodon doesn't like certain kinds of folks, no?

     @dalias @Gina @khm @lulu @hipsterelectron I'm not sure that's fully true. I try to cw upsetting politics but don't always take the time and I don't worry about it when boosting. As with everything, it remains to be seen how the rule will be applied, but it seems very open to de-welcoming people who want to talk about systems and trends affecting communities in tech, which (dalias' musl account aside 🙃) is what actually makes up the server
