Make AI image. Photograph it. Produce negative as evidence that it's not AI. 😘 -

@pyrate @Terry This is all a long term plan from Kodak. Soon enough no one nor any court will accept any image as real unless it has been shot on film and you can show the negative. -

Actually, I think this is worse. This will result in a certain level of information nihilism.
Nothing is real anymore.BowserNoodle ☦️ and Hoss Delgado repeated this. -

Very epic can't wait to see AI video used to frame people for crimes they didn't commit. -

@Humpleupagus @pyrate @Terry @wgiwf Maybe we can train AI to better detect AI... what could go wrong? 😕 -

@Humpleupagus @pyrate @Terry @wgiwf I said this as a shitpost but really that's half of what a GAN is anyway, which to my very limited knowledge is a lot of what goes into "AI image generation". -

I recall some scotus case that one of my professors made a big deal about because it was the first time video evidence was used in a case involving police. The court pretty much took your position that the tape tells the tale. Not so much anymore. BowserNoodle ☦️ likes this. -

@Humpleupagus @pyrate @Terry @wgiwf I expect some boomer to try to put some archiving requirements into place that force data logs of prompts and samples and archive of every created clip to be backed up for 75 years for legal reasons... The type of thing only a mega Corp could afford and could put justified crazy prices on use of the tech. It will fail but I expect an attempt will be made. -

Yes, which implies we could expect cases of violence to rise because now any culprit could argue the evidence is faked. I know it might be a bit of a ham fisted defense, but some niggers are going to try it out. BowserNoodle ☦️ likes this. -

I think a lot of people fantasized about AI for the past six or seven decades without really considering the implications of it actually succeeding. Well, we're finding out now.
People losing their sense of purpose.
"Why read a book, AI can just summarize it."
"Any job I could do, AI can do better and cheaper."
"AI even writes and makes art better than I could."
Nothing being trustworthy.
"I don't know if that news is real or not, it's impossible to tell now. I don't even know if a human was involved in making the video or article."
"Was that line always in that TV show? I don't remember it being there. It seems out of place."
"I got a call from my brother, and it was his voice, but something seemed off. He sounded normal but he wanted me to send money somewhere."
And complete, total domination of humanity.
"The algorithms know more about me than I do."
"Even if I wanted to fight for freedom, they would know and stop me before I even tried."
"Every system--political, financial, law enforcement--has access to AI analysis of me and uses it against me."

I think the cat is already out of the bag. The image will just be prompted from an un-logged AI instance. I could see an unscrupulous person setting up AI generation tools on an onion service, charging super cheap rates to produce stuff via crypto and just be an agent of absolute chaos. It's kinda hard under current law. That could outlaw use, but not distribution of the code. That's protected speech. 😏
