  Did you really think governments were going to allow competition to their currencies?
  No chance in hell of that.
  All crypto currency should be thought of as central banking controlled digital currency because it all will be eventually, and anyone that says otherwise lives in a fantasy world.

Not only did the US government allow competition but they *actively encouraged it* in 2013 and right now the POTUS is actively engaged in crypto pump & dump scams. ie the facts have been against you for over a decade now

Honey would be a good currency if we had a starvation level food crisis because it keeps forever if dry and is slow to produce and not unreasonably cumbersome. It's all meaningful/meaningless depending on context. I happen to like hard assets because yeah somebody can rob you, but they can also beat you half to death with a baseball bat until you give them your BTC. 🤷♂️

So hypothetically crypto could become like a tontine wherein private wallets disappearing boost the overall value of the coins(until the demand dries up as crypto holders keep getting axed.
