   Do not put ANYTHING in the water unless it’s proven NOT to be harmful, obviously.
   
   If you want fluoridated water, that should be opt in. This “Generally Recognized As Safe” shit is how we end up with 10,000 poisons being sprayed on our food and is absolutely immoral.
   
   In this country, if you want to make a drug, you need to do studies and prove that it’s not harmful. It’s a huge deal. But if a company can just declare that a chemical is safe and then put it in the food in the form of pesticides, preservatives, etc. This is immoral and insane.
   
   It should be completely the opposite. When I give a glass of water to my kid or give him a bowl of Cheerios, I should NOT be taking a risk. When my kid is sick as fuck and need s a drug to make it, that’s a situation where it makes more sense to venture into the unknown.
   
   If a company wants to put some new concoction in/on/on/near my food, they need to do a double blind study and PROVE that it doesn’t cause cancer or diabetes or whatever is wrong with zoomers.
   
   In this country, it’s essentially impossible to eat as healthy as your grandparents did effortlessly. Even if you’re a total freak and read all the shit on the labels and buy organic and cook everything from scratch you are getting fucked in the ass. Full stop.
   
   They just put fluoride in the water in the fifties. For everyone. Did they test if it killed you quick? Yeah. Did they make sure it was NOT harmful? No. It’s been 70 years. Did they check their work in the meantime? No. It’s madness. And for what benefit? You get less cavities?
   
   You only ever hear “oh yeah we realized this shit we were feeding you for decades causes cancer oops we’ll quit that.” So they ruin a shitload of lives and only quit it when they get caught. Well guess what theres a ton of stuff we haven’t caught yet and they’re cooking up more.
   
   And this affects health on a population level. Everyone is less healthy than they would be because we’re all playing an unwilling role in this sick science experiment. People’s health in this country is absolutely fucked.

     @ShovelTrouble @Ghislaine There are at least two forms of it, and the best one is a special treatment that only your dentist has and involves a foam tray and fluoride gel that is not supposed to touch your gums at all because you don't want it absorbed. My dentist always said in order of importance:
     >Floss
     >Dry brush (no toothpaste)
     >Brush with toothpaste
     >fluoride
     Flossing is more important than fluoride, but you can't dump floss into the water supply as an industrial waste byproduct from aluminum fabrication, so here we are. On that note, floss your damn teeth fellas.

     @Ghislaine From a very, very minimal amount of discussion, my understanding is that to get the dental benefits of fluoride, you can just do a topical treatment or a rinse once every couple of weeks.

     Putting it in the drinking water is absurd.

     @j @Jonny @Ghislaine @ShovelTrouble Those are great. You can put them in the dishwasher when you're done too. I used to get tarter on the back of my middle bottom teeth from saliva buildup in my sleep and I could scrape it off with these.
