whycome white skin in northern climate if white reflects heat+light but dark skin in hot equator region if black absorbs heat+light ? huh??? surely you want to reflect the extra heat at the equator and suck up the extra heat in the cold regions. huh???

@augustus@shitposter.world @WandererUber@poa.st IDK the main one I remember is that the founder of the mormon church said dark was a curse from god for behaving immorally as spirits before being born into human bodies on earth

@augustus@shitposter.world @WandererUber@poa.st idk what else it would even be. nocturnal stealth? im pretty sure early humans are diurnal though. I'm pretty sure the vitamin D thing is confirmed and there's evidence the earliest hunter gather populations in northern europe had dark skin as well so light skin is most likely an adaptation to a combination of less sunlight (so less need for sun protection) and a changed diet due to the advent of agriculture.

This also explains why the populations with the lightest skin are from the temperate parts of europe and asia while the indigenous people of north america, where agriculture was much less widespread, have darker skin

@anemone @WandererUber it makes sense. but now I also want to know the mystical kook explanations for it too. I remember somewhere in Gobineau he tries to divide the races into 4 groups to match the 4 humors of red, black, yellow, and white. it's a nice idea but doesn't really work.

@augustus Melanin is for blocking UV so you don't get as much skin cancer. Lack of melanin allows more vitamin D production.
That's how I know it at least. There might also be a component like with light hair and eyes that it is a genetic fitness signal since you can afford to "look beautiful" over survival

@WandererUber I will be disappointed if it's just an adaptation to UV and nothing else

@augustus Blacks are cold-blooded and need the extra thermal energy to function. Whites are warm-blooded because they have the warmth of God inside them and therefore do not need as much sunlight (pagan god radiation) to move and think. This is why white societies always overtake black ones, we can move in winter unaided.
@hidden you're the academic racist here please confirm

@nerthos @augustus Yes hello professional racist here. This is all factual and true. However the main reason is because white people are aliens who landed in the arctic.
