  I don't mean to rant, but I hate people who get "deer in the headlights" or "go on the defensive." Offense is the best defense.
  
  For example, he asks about context after calling her a racist. She should have never admitted being racist and instead said "for context, I was singing along to..." or "I was reading Huckleberry Finn last month and subsequently discussed it with a friend." Then she could have forced an apology.

  Everyone's racist, so it's like calling water wet. In context, admitting it only hurts the speaker. You have to sell it subtly with a pile of shoes. Establish that Peirce is racist.
