@Aether I'm not sure if they use an "open source development model".
The AGPLv3 is not an "open source" license; "The GNU Affero General Public License is a free, copyleft license for software and other kinds of works, specifically designed to ensure cooperation with the community in the case of network server software."
@kamehamic@Aether AGPLv3-or-later makes perfect sense for all software, as just because something is not client+server software doesn't mean companies can't take it and turn it into SaaSS.
The one of many "retard moves" Redis made was to make Redis proprietary and correcting that mistake by releasing it under a free license wasn't a "retard move".
Many businesses are pleased with the AGPLv3-ambigious, as it prevents proprietary competition while also not preventing people from wanting to use the software, as it is under a free license.
