@poopernova@Kyonko802 :naruhodo: Only problem is that once I got a license, then what? Gun laws keep getting retarded here, and I wouldn't know what gun I'd want :akko_sus:
@Ronnie21093@Kyonko802 The SKS is pretty much untouchable, due to how many of them are in the hands of the natives, and due to their non-restricted classification they were never registered and extremely hard to keep track on
@Ronnie21093@Kyonko802 Gun licenses in Canada aren't that hard to get, the Canadian Firearms Safety Course was designed so that even someone who's never been to a school and has subsisted off of nature for their entire lives would be able to pass it, there are literally subsistence hunters who have their firearms license fees waived in Canada. I was barely even paying attention to the class and still passed the exam with a 100%, basically just treat every firearm as if it were loaded until you actually clear the thing, including visually checking the chamber, then you can do whatever it is you want with it.
@Kyonko802 You know, if it wasn't for stupid Canadian laws, I feel like I could try getting a gun license and actually succeed. Mainly because I've seen so many idiots handle their guns like retards and people saying what the fuck they did wrong.
@Ronnie21093 pulling the trigger is technically part of the clearing process for some guns, but you don't point it at your fucking hand and you check the chamber first
@Kyonko802 I'm no expert, but isn't one of the rules of gun safety to always treat the gun as if it is loaded? Also, do you actually have to pull the trigger to disassemble it, or is he just a retard?
@poopernova@Kyonko802 Honestly, this talk has definitely made me think into looking into how to get a gun license and then look into getting a gun. :doge_laugh:
@Kyonko802@Ronnie21093 God I wish there was something equivalent to the CMP in leafland, being able to get a Garand for non wallet rape prices would be great. :awoo_cry2:
@Ronnie21093@poopernova I want an m1 garand but I have to join a dumb government gun thing to get one. It doesn't look hard i just hate doing paperwork
@Ronnie21093@Kyonko802 SKS is still the cheapest semi-automatic in Canada with the others going upwards of $2k last time I checked. You could also go the route of buying an old bolt action from a local gun shop, they usually have a bunch of them for a lot less than $600
@Ronnie21093@Kyonko802 You can take a look around on this website to get an idea of how much they cost https://greatnorthgunco.ca/used/ And yeah Bolt Actions are pretty fun, I've got a couple and I really like fucking around with my bubbahed Lee-Enfield. Just such a smooth action :flan_x3:
