     @smugumin there have always been women protags and nonwhite characters in games. It's totally fine. There are games with only white people that are preachy and weird too, even the rightoid games (sometimes especially). All gamers want is good games and to not feel like they're being talked down to or pestered about political shit they don't agree with in faggy ways.

     Metal Gear and FF7 are great examples of games that have propaganda in them but are still fucking amazing.

     So, bad things are bad... what is your point?
     Obviously, if DEI was implemented in the steelman way of truly supporting chairbound people and help the disatvantaged get jobs, where their conditions do not affect their effectiveness, noone would have a morally justifyable reason to be against it.

     But, that's the steelman, not the reality. And the issue is just the bad parts. That really should not be a controvertial take.

There have been niggers in video games even earlier than 2004 that were "just there" and weren't trying to shove vile leftist moral talking points or just gross-for-the-sake-of-being-brave imagery unlike certain titles (which all except Balder's Gay ended up being flops every single time, think about it).
     
     "Gamers" ARE retarded but even they know there's a huge difference between TF2 Demoman and whatever the fuck kind of "gender abomination gay nigger who constantly tries to flirt with the MC while yelling tranny rights" would be in a fundamentally terrible video game.
