So, bad things are bad... what is your point?
Obviously, if DEI was implemented in the steelman way of truly supporting chairbound people and help the disatvantaged get jobs, where their conditions do not affect their effectiveness, noone would have a morally justifyable reason to be against it.
But, that's the steelman, not the reality. And the issue is just the bad parts. That really should not be a controvertial take.
