     @jerkdouglas I think that's just fedi, threads are just chronological, and they'll take time to load when they get big, but if you can hover over the "reply to" and see what it's a reply to, and underneath if you see "replies" and a number you can hover over that and it'll show you that post too, so it can help keep track of messages here and there.

     - SubwayTooter (very complex, technical, lots of features and configuration options. Crashes randomly on this instance, doesn't let me upload files either [complains about files not being supported, but web upload from pleroma-fe is fine])
     - Moshidon (rather simple, follows the recent android UI/UX style, crashes randomly, more frequently than SubwayTooter, can't show any notification on the notification panel that isn't a reply, complains about an API error, doesn't let me upload files either)
     - Husky (rather simple, haven't used it in a long time. Stopped using it since it had a bug that made it put a phone core at 100% at all times unless the app was killed, which lead to me and other friend's phones to get very hot and consume battery like crazy)

     @jerkdouglas @mischievoustomato @thomasroiloup also I don't know if thomas gave you the tutorial explanation, but tons of people on this network run and post from their own servers, and all the posts kind of mingle in a primordial soup and show up on your timeline. so a lot of people you interact with aren't even my users and I don't have control over what they post, etc. sorry if this is stuff you already know but it's a thing that considerably confuses many new people on the Fediverse.

     @sun @jerkdouglas @mischievoustomato I tried to explain but I don't think I'm good at it, I basically just tell people "it's like twitter except you can't be banned, and it's all on different sites that crosspost to each other, so the most they can do is one person or site blocks you which basically does nothing."
     
     With the exception that you can't just post totally illegal shit of course, but let's face it, none of us ever got banned or suspended from twixter for actually posting anything illegal or even coming close.
