     The only people I've ever heard express the belief that rabbi Yeshua ben Yusef is boiling in shit are seething jews pissed off that he took their supremecist cult and tried to make it a global one.

     There is very little evidence he pissed off a Roman or a Greek. The claims of his pivotal importance in the period/region are mostly fanfic written down in later periods. Records from the time show no trace of him.
     
     The only exceptions are an alleged letter by Pilate which didn't turn up until the 19th century (a time rife with jewish antiquity forgers) and a paragraph in Josephus which is awkwardly jammed in between two unrelated paragraphs about something completely different.
