      @yomiel @nyanide @VIPPER @hfaust "Open"BSD is chock full of proprietary software, so the only thing "peak" is the proprietaryness.

      It doesn't "just work", only GNU does that.

      @yomiel @nyanide @VIPPER @hfaust Proprietary kernels such as Linux indeed suck.

      GNU/GNU Linux-libre meanwhile actually respects the users freedom and just works too.

      @yomiel @nyanide @VIPPER @hfaust Linux-libre is a GNU package, meaning the full name is GNU Linux-libre.

      GNU/GNU Linux-libre or GNU/Linux-libre is the name of the GNU variant that uses GNU Linux-libre (rather than GNU Hurd).

      You mentioned "Open"BSD, which is an OS and it's an error to try to functionally compare any OS with Linux (considering that Linux doesn't operate by itself).

      The only point of comparison between "Open"BSD and Linux is that both are proprietary software.

      >the linux kernel.
      Please do not imply that the kernel, Linux is more than a kernel.

      >without any proprietary blobs installed.
      It also contains many patches to make drivers work without proprietary software, disables proprietary software loading machinery, corrects the documentation and doesn't tell the user to install proprietary software.

      You're wrong, the kernel isn't called GNU/Linux-libre, since it's still just the linux kernel without any proprietary blobs installed. Thus, it's still just Linux-libre on its own.

      @gabi @yomiel @VIPPER @hfaust @nyanide "Open"BSD rather includes many pieces of *proprietary software* that lacks any sort of firmness, as it's software.

      I agree. However, OpenBSD is an operating system that includes several pieces of non-free binary-only firmware and is licensed under a permissive license without copyleft. Furthermore, its original software is licensed under an ISC-like license. You surrender your freedom by using it.
