@Ladyfat@GrumpyOldNurse@polarisera We had something similar when I worked at a rural school some years ago. We *failed* the part of the OFSTED inspection that looked at ethnic quotas because we didn't have the *correct* percentage of children from the *correct* ethnic backgrounds. The inspector did get very excited when he found out that one of our pupils was born in the Caribbean, but was disappointed to find out that he was white, even if he was called Rudy. Apparently, children who live in a neighbourhood and attend the local school could be *wrong* for just existing - who knew? #progress
@HebrideanHecate@Ladyfat@GrumpyOldNurse@polarisera I did get a bit of a laugh, though. I had a couple of very disturbed boys in that class and when the OFSTED chap entered the room, one of them muttered under his breath (but loud enough to be heard by the inspector) *gaylord*. I didn't hear this and only found out afterwards when the inspector told me, but this was apparently still my fault and was evidence that the school did nothing to prevent homophobic bullying. In fairness to the child concerned, he was right - the inspector was a bit of a gaylord.
@HebrideanHecate@Ladyfat@GrumpyOldNurse@polarisera OFSTED is another grift to spaff our money. It has done precisely sod all to improve educational standards and has made the education system worse, but it has employed a lot of useless form-fillers who couldn't hold down a proper job to save their lives.
@Sherri_Ingrey@HebrideanHecate@Ladyfat@GrumpyOldNurse@polarisera It's a place for useless teachers and other managerial types to process paperwork and pretend they're doing good. Until OFSTED stopped the practice, it was commonplace for inspectors to tout their services to schools with a *we'll tell you how to pass an OFSTED inspection* course. They change the criteria on a regular basis so nobody knows what to do. It's like being given a ball and told to play a game in which you only find out what the rules are when they decide you've broken them. Waste of time and money.
@Sherri_Ingrey@KeepTakingTheSoma@HebrideanHecate@Ladyfat@GrumpyOldNurse All the government schools teach imperialism through relocation of immigrant groups. Every single one of the ancient Empires practiced forced resettlement. And most modern ones. Which is why the government schools teach "anti-colonialism" and not anti-Imperialism.
@Sherri_Ingrey@KeepTakingTheSoma@HebrideanHecate@Ladyfat@GrumpyOldNurse If Trump or some other crazy opens up all their materials and lets AI eat it, we would soon know just how much imperial planning goes into resettlements. None of it is by accident. They have data and studies, and dream of destroying the communities of the most hated disobedient hicks. Without the media's constant barrage of lies, none of it would happen.
