     @iFixit yes, almost exactly! we use iFixit screwdrivers for mostly everything btw :D

     @annika @mntmn I recognize that monitor—it has a hub. The USB-C cable has PD, handles video, and connects the computer to anything connected to the monitor itself.

     @annika @mntmn I have a similar model (if it isn’t the exact same one). It has a built-in KVM, too, so you can connect two computers at the same time and get a video feed from both. It’s a really nice monitor!

     @anna @mntmn I just tried this with a monitor of my own, works great! I don't think the USB-C is handling video (the docs say "there are no alternative modes—it is not possible to connect DisplayPort monitors"), I think the lower cable is handling HDMI and the top is doing everything else
