There is discourse in some spaces on allowing ssh with password authentication on the standard port.
I do this, but only on IPv6 addresses which are not allowed initiate egress traffic.

Unrelated to this, one of the new hires at work recently watched one of my internal presentations on how to deal strategically with fraud actors, and when I asked what they thought, I got a response along the lines of "I can't get over how vicious some of those things are, you seem so nice!".
