It finally happened last night
My wife asked me about men thinking of the Roman Empire
She had asked our grown son about it earlier and he said “yes, of course I do”
It was a great opportunity to explain some things to her

@jb I don't think they grasp what it means, but women have different reproductive goals than Men do. If they have a baby, their genes will be carried on. They don't think about whether those genes will come to a total halt in three generations due to a confrontation with a more powerful group.
Rome existed. Their most powerful enemy was always the Gauls, and they devoted the bulk of their history towards meeting and subjugating that foe.
Then they encountered the Germans. The Germans were better than the "Romans", who were by then not actually Roman but were the subject population of the entire Empire.
The Western European Roman Empire was full of Germans, who paid their taxes and fought in the Legions.
Then they decided they didn't want to answer to prancing faggots in the faraway City. So they ended the Western Empire. Just like that. They just changed the government, and it was over.
You know why we think of Rome all the time? Because we're right there, at the end. We're not out there conquering a fucking thing. We don't even have our women obedient to Our People anymore.
We could have our own nation. We'd just need to do what we already did, and what the Romans did. Kill everyone who disobeys our orders, make room for us and our people, and completely erase from history any People who causes any form of trouble.
Instead, we're giving control of our People to a hostile race and begging them to stop letting invaders in.
There's only one way out of this, and it's illegal to talk about it. If we don't do it, it all ends. Like Rome ended.

Women are only capable of understanding conditions as the exist now. They did not evolve to understand temporal change. That was never their concern. That was always the males domain.

Women only understand the action already taken. They don't understand future action. That's always a promise. They merely rely on the current and submit to the whatever the future brings. They're very fatalist at heart. What has occurred is no guarantee of what will occur... Hume or something.

It's shrink talk, but there's some truth to it: "women understand action, not promises..." It's why men are bigger risk-takers, too, because you see the "promise" at the end. We're naturally careful & suss.

Yes. True. In small fairness to some of us, my dad almost died multiple times from heart stuff before I was even finished with school... "I promise I'll quit smoking!" (I didn't really ask it of him, but his guilt would get him talking).
He never did, & I just rolled my eyes upon hearing it quarterly. I actually don't even like men talking about future plans. I prefer to just wait & see what happens😆🤷♀️

I assume all people will either fall back into their habits or substitute it. An over eater may diet to fall back in, may become a bulimic, or substitute with over exercise, or a method addict may quit and substitute the addiction with Jesus, etc. In truth, underling traits really never disappear, the expression can be shifted though.

My husband is also a sight to behold. Everyone who knows him rolls their eyes when he says "I'm done working so much after this month..." No, you're not.
I'll give men props, though. I can't match the doggedness. I'm just a tumbleweed rolling along, avoiding cigarettes & over-working. Lol

I could easily find a job that pays more but I have so much freedom that I can't put a price on it.

I was always willing to work & I'm frugal/cheap as the day is long, but four kids don't feed themselves & something about "other streams of income," so he's not only one that does, either.
Big year for us, hopefully. That's cool 😎 Everyone should work as little as possible.

I'd get up earlier tbh, but my wife really like each other, so I'm up late every day. I'll leave it at that.
