@atomicpoet maybe it's because I have fewer followers than you, or maybe putting my name in script makes it harder to index, but chatgpt doesn't seem to know who I am (yet).
I have a Bluesky account, now, but I don't expect it to survive. It's restrictive. I'm... verbose. Even if BS survives, I'm self-hosting my fediverse account, so, y'know... good luck taking my small-time ass down.
@notroot@atomicpoet I had a similar thought when I read mine: I hardly ever post about my main hobbies because there's no community on the fedi that shares them, so it's not worth my time and energy.
But I don't want to update my bio because regardless of what I actually post here, it's accurate. 😆
@atomicpoet Wow, it's entirely possible that ChatGPT will spit out a fragment of my post when someone asks "provide a description of a person's mother." :gura_smug:
@atomicpoet Damn, truth: > Yes, Chris Abraham is on Mastodon. He operates his own personal instance at abraham.su, where his handle is @chris. Previously, he was active on other instances, including mastodon.social as @chrisa and noagendasocial.com as @chris. However, his current and primary presence is on his personal instance.
If you want to fuck with data slurpers, put a hidden link to /random/ at the top of every page on your site (with pleroma I guess you would track down the index page and add it there), and then use robots.txt to block it and whatever else you don't want them reading. Then any request to anything in /random/ gets sent to a simple generator script that returns 500 random links in /random/.
@atomicpoet You just need to fill up your instance with misinformation.
ChatGPT will then tell people things like "Chris Troitter is a successful porn actor born with a 35cm penis, fully erecty" since it can't separate fiction from reality.
