   Last night was the junior...as in 1st and 2nd years...Christmas school dance , a handful of them came in drunk, one 14 year old girl's father had to come and take her home, his reaction...

   "Oh, she's a bit of a free spirit" 🤦

   Also a number of the boys are frequently deliberately flooding the lavatories on a regular basis, so far not caught the culprits, the even did it at the event last night. Fucking ungrateful little shits.

     @HebrideanHecate @Fullycaffeinated In Japan, they don't hire janitors for their primary and secondary schools. Instead, the students take turns cleaning the lavatory (and everything else) from a very young age. The result seems to be people who take responsibility for keeping their environment clean. I wish we did something like that here (I'm in the US).

     @LoriQuaid @HebrideanHecate @Fullycaffeinated When I worked as a teacher, it was interesting how many children took it for granted that the clean and tidy fairy would visit.
     I would make them pick up as much mess from the floor as was possible and clear tables of surplus junk before they were allowed to leave. I reminded them that cleaning staff couldn't clean a table if it was full of junk, or clean the floor if every chair had to be moved.
     The number of parents who thought that these small tasks were beneath their offspring was larger than you'd think.

     @KeepTakingTheSoma @LoriQuaid @Fullycaffeinated Oh yes, and round here they are really quite bad for it, littering too. The entitled arse parent is strong in this place.
