@evamik HR protects yhr company, it's your enemy. never interact with HR if you can avoid it. never report anyone to HR, since they will start investigating you instead. never sign any HR documents while being prompted to do so. only sign after you read everything at home or had lawyer look at it.

@kaia @evamik And if you really need to interact with HR (or employer), bring someone else with you.

I was at a mortgage company and worked one row over from all the HR and finance people. I was in devops, but I was occasionally assigned tasks to help them determine what resources on AWS went to which subsidiary and give them data for tax purposes. I'd also talk to them at company parties and such and generally enjoyed interacting with them.
I had an insane manager who went crazy on me and went to HR. It was during the scamdemic and we were already 3 months remote at that point, but they made the case to not fire me to both him and other people who would need to sign-off. I got a talking to by some shithead director I had never met.
A year later that manager was fired for taking a 3 week vacation with 3 hours notice. There are several times he should have been fired leading up to that. I outlasted him by another full year.

@sun @kaia @lanodan @evamik imagine if that clown quietly leaned forward at one point and began giving them legal advice on their separation from the company
