Only time I was confronted with P2W was in WoWs (World of Warships), which I sunk 1500 bucks into over the course of a year or so. The game messed with my head, it's like addiction. Eventually I cut my losses and deinstalled, but the whole business model seems to be targeted at vulnerable individuals and is exploitative. I'm against it.

  I remember when gaming was fun, not just a bunch of sociopaths trying to milk as many normies as they could in increasingly manipulative ways.   I find it funny that the majority of vidya game consumers in here, even for a game that built itself on being pro-consumer, are pro anti-consumer. It explains the fucking state of the industry doesn't it? It isn't just the normies that caused gaming to fucking nosedive in quality.

  Dude it's so fucked, even in fringe F2P MMORPGs I've seen people dropping 5 figures a month on the chance to get mounts or some shit. And then nobody can else can compete for free, even if they play like 16 hours a day and have perfect reaction speeds/skills etc. Gaming's meant to be escapism imo, not a fucking recreation of the class system that most of us get assraped by every day.

  Yeah I have addictive personality issues, runs in the bloodline. Gacha/lootbox gambling shit has raped my bank account more times than I'd like to admit, so I avoid it because it's pretty much just evil exploitation of consumers. Why would I support that shit? So I mostly just pirate games and use cracked versions/hacks to give me unlimited premium currency, burn through it until the serotonin stops and then move on.
