   I don't usually block people so let me explain what happened.
   
   This guy has consistently caused problems for me and my experience on the Fediverse for the past year or two.
   
   Almost always, he would enter into threads or responded to reply posts I had made, then make completely off-topic posts that were usually about himself, rather anything that followed the flow and logic of a conversation. Sometimes, he would enter a thread that one needed to take with seriousness and sobriety, and ruin that seriousness, just to talk about irrelevant things, mostly about himself. More so, he would bring in people who didn't know better about the original topics, then egg those people on to spam the thread until the people who were originally talking leave and mute the conservation.
   
   This is a kind spamming, which I will block. It's not courteous nor respectful to other users. Deliberate making threads and conversations off-topic has always been wrong and selfish, and the failure for online communities to enforce that unspoken nor the nature of microblogging social media has never made it acceptable.
   
   But that is not the only problem. He has abused other users who are my mutuals. Sometimes telling them to "kill themselves". My mutuals may ignore that or have reconciled with this user, but I'm not going to because he refuses to change and learn self-control.
   
   I wish blocking properly worked and was stronger on the Fediverse and on Poast, but this is the best I can do to keep a guy like this

   Because I've said I don't block people unless certain criteria were met and have the autistic need to explain how this guy met those criteria. I don't want people thinking that I'm just mad all of the sudden and, in a spur of moment, decided to block him.

     @SuperSnekFriend @Goalkeeper ...i interact with him a lot and he does just jump into threads he sees me interacting with and sometimes i wish he would be more choosy...a good explanation on your part...seems fair...thanks for not blocking my inane replies yet 😂

     It's both, sadly.
     Tell Bowsac, one of the nicest guys one here and guy with a family, to "kill himself" last night, even if was "ironic and a joke tee hee" was the final nail in the coffin for me.
     
     The worst thing is that Givenup claims to be a Christian, but that's doubtful and his behavior doesn't not look good to the world or believers. I pray Christ shakes him out of whatever he is doing or that he actually and properly turns to Christ.

     You have to do very specific things for me to block you, like what happened here. Normally I just mute only for a few months and move on. :02_shrug:

     @Goalkeeper @Frondeur @SuperSnekFriend I'm going to defend you @givenup and agree that you responded in theme of the thread, and I didn't take it personally. I do agree with @SuperSnekFriend that you need to try and be at least a bit more topical or relevant to the thread. If you don't care about other people, care about me and any others who would call me you a friend. I don't want to ignore you, but I don't want to shit up the thread. This puts me in a spot where I choose the lesser of two annoyances to inflict on friends, hence why it's rude.

     @branman65 @SuperSnekFriend @Goalkeeper We argued over dumb things that I wish we could finish conversing on unless it brings you to a bad place mentally or spiritually. In the end, you are my brother in Christ. I would want any of you to correct me privately if I was in blatant error (sometime I am, even if it's for jokes and I'm sorry about that). I totally forgave givenup the second he said it and don't think it's worth dwelling on, but I do understand the conversation and etiquette thing and I'll be more mindful myself.

     @SuperSnekFriend @Goalkeeper I have had strife with Bowsac before, and admittedly I have sinfully told people to kill themselves before in the past. However, telling Bowsac, a decent man with a family, to off himself is awful. what makes it worse is that he didn't apologize and repent once rebuked. Not heading to discipline leads only to bad things.
