  I most certainly have. In my time stateside I had all sorts of vile concoctions forced upon me, candy f-ing corn, tootsie rolls, root beer, smores and so on. World's worst 'marshmallows'. How the fuck does one even make marshmallows without actual marshmallow??? Badly, that's how.

  Yeah some of the old school American candy used to be pretty good, but it's all shit now. I'm not sure about the European stuff, my friend from Scotland always had weird ass candy bars that I'd never heard of but I imagine all that shit is goyslop now too.

  Like so many other things, they were better when they were first introduced, but then quickly devolved into churned crap. Either they changed the recipe for cheaper shit and higher immediate profit margins, or my taste refined over time. That latter is plausible, given how I hated brie up until about aged 35.
