   I had to remind them that the only people in the room who weren't divorced at least once we're myself and the then 9 year old.

     @RaHoWaJoe @poastoak @Umlaut Literally go in with the expectation that you will have to fight and make sure she's committed to the same. It helps if you both come from homes where divorce didn't happen and share the belief that it shouldn't ever happen.

     But this has unintentionally steered towards me rather than being about how difficult modern dating is in general, so let's get back on that track.

If you find a single woman without insane problems, speedrun the dating courtship marriage process. Prenup to reinforce that this is a covenant before God and include infidelity as a breach clause.

     Idk about jews, but divorce existed in most ancient european societies and it wasn't a problem simply because there was no advantage to be gained in having one.
     
     The result was that couples only divorced when there was no other option. Then the wife went back to her father's tribe and he had to try to find her a new husband. The kids weren't an issue since they'd likely been fostered off to secure some alliance or other.
