    Every major browsers should display first instance of following HTML code as a nice responsive and accessible main menu.

    Why in 2024 it is still not the case?

    <nav>
    <ul>
    <li><a></a></li>
    ...
    </ul>
    </nav>

      @adele @beaufils @mozilla Water is another good one though not maintained, I believe and I don’t know at the moment if nav was ever included but there was talk/a prototype (https://github.com/kognise/water.css/issues/182).

      I’m using it in Kitten and plan to fork and improve things so I’ll keep the nav request in mind when I do :)

      @aral @adele @mozilla

      If anyone did or know a short CSS code snippet allowing such a thing I will be delighted to use it.

      I think of something usable without modifying the HTML snippet (without adding class).

      The CSS need to be able to select the right <nav> which seems easy to me. The hard part being able to render the menu responsively.

      I have other similar situations (responsive basic table view for instance) in mind for which I will be glad to financially participate to support someone doing the job of producing free implementation...I guess I will not be alone.
