     @nyanide If you are a google employee, google demands that you agree to surrender all your copyrights, even for stuff outside of work hours that you don't get paid for (those who are willing to become google employees are too spineless to oppose such).
     
     Indeed - google doesn't give employees the freedom to release their personal creative works into the public domain.
     
     It is possible for employees to put in a request to contribute to projects personally and google oh so generously may allow such, or may refuse to.

     If copyright holdership was ownership, copyright would never expire.

     @Suiseiseki @nyanide I wonder if one can release such projects under a nonprofit or other similar entity one created for the purpose of "owning" the resulting work.
     
     Of course that begs the question why would one accept the unreasonable terms Google requests to start with, of course.

     @EdBoatConnoisseur @nyanide The thing is, google is quite good at spying and may work out that's you and then that's software's then likely gonna be made proprietary.
     
     The average google employee is dumb enough to use gmail and have the chrome spyware installed.

     @Suiseiseki @nyanide and that is why non retards have a "business" and a personal email account and accounts on git servers with nicknames never linked to your real name, that way they only can do stuff with whatever uses your real name but everything published under a pseudonym they can't touch.
