  I don't like the idea of the left-right dichotomy, because it contains a lot of baggage and implications about policy preferences that a person might not actually have.
  
  "Deregulation" - is that rightwing or leftwing?

  The axis of pro-freedom vs. less freedom is also a bit to vague to be useful. "Pro-freedom" means different things to different people, with regards to, idk, buying old-fashioned lightbulbs, or legalizing sex work, or open borders, or rural living.
  
  The idea of pro-censorship vs anti-censorship - that's a real dichotomy where people understand what side they are on. And they self-sort instinctively. 🥂

  @KuteboiCoder @arcana @jeffcliff @Hoss @TimeSpent @Griffith @allison @zaitcev @gray @Nesano @RapistGoku @anemone @Diceyocean @j @Kagekokoro @une I don't think you actually need to bring all the other baggage into the definition of freedom in play here, and I think freedom of fediverse is more expansive than censorship, decentralization means you can form intentional communities of like minded people while not cutting yourself off from others who think radically differently. the main people that can't cope with here are the people that want to but cannot impose their values on everyone because of the architecture of the network.
