     @sun @kaia Well you can definitely put the home folder in version control, it's how I do dotfiles, but you got to be careful.

     @kaia Ironically GNU/Linux actually has utilities for recovering deleted files from partitions, but that's really lacking on windows.

     @sally @kaia Generally you don't run GNU shred unless you have singled out files that need to be deleted and not recovered and thus accidental deletion with it doesn't really happen.
