Communists don't exactly have a great track record of not slaughtering gay people or making their lives horrible.
Yeah, neolibs don't have trans people's backs, but communists don't either. They'll use trans people as a political tool and then when it comes time for "dictatorship of the proletariet" any non-square pegs get purged.

It isn't fair or right to accuse all communists of being homophobic. Communist who are homophobic are so for the exact same reason any other non-communist is homophobic: them being raised in a culture that promotes homophobia, a fear of what they don't understand, etc. It's perfectly right to call out communists who are prejudiced against gay people, but to suggest that all communists are homophobic is an act of hypocrisy and is also prejudiced.

You're wrong and clearly haven't interacted with enough communists to know that many of them, like many leftists in general, are supportive of the LGBTQ community. Whether a communist is homophobic or transphobic will depend on their culture, upbringing, etc, not on whether they're a communist or not. There are likely just as many allies who are communists as there are allies of any leftist group. Don't believe this "communists hate the gays" lie. It isn't true.

All communists aren't homophobic, and in fact, many communists are allies of the LGBTQ community. If you were stating the opposite, then yes, you were indeed wrong in that regard.

It's not about communists being homophobic, it's about a system that is designed around rigid social prescription. Communism views humans in these ideal terms, as if once culture and history and everything else is stripped away you're left with standard units.
When humans inevitably do not, by their individual nature, conform easily to the system it's seen as a threat.
It's why the CCP erases every cultural or religious entity and replaces it with a state-friendly simulacra

Sure, I understand, not all christians are homophobic either. But their religion is, so my position is always to push back on narratives that try to frame christianity in that way simply because some individuals are decent. Similarly with communism I just don't see it ending well for lgbt people.
It's a criticism of the ideology, not the people.

@Radical_EgoCom @contrasocial I've seen my fair share of transphobic and homophobic communists. Still, I would never assume a whole group is any one thing unless they make it part of their message like religions do. I stay away from them like I would any other homo/transphobic person.
I don't understand the mentality though, if they're trying to liberate everyone how can they be a communist if they are excluding people? I'm still learning here so pardon my lack of knowledge.

The meme is visually showing the difference between the two mainstream parties (Republicans and Democrats, but the emphasis is more on Democrats in the meme) and left-wing alternatives (Communists and Anarchists) as they pertain to their treatment of transgender people. That's why the Republicans and Democrats are on the same side, or at least that's what I infered from the meme.
