   @thendrix the TDS is probably just that strong. some of their campaign ads leak through the mountain of internet condoms and their whole pitch is literally "i'm not orange!" and other tripe.
   
   ironically i don't care about his issues with paying off bimbos, but warpspeed is a borderline death sentence.

     @thendrix he stayed married to that well in to the start of his campaigning, too, despite basically everyone in his orbit telling him its the single most retarded shit he did in his life. even in to people literally booing and walking out of rallies when he started talking about how great it was.

     @Alex yeah idk. i'm heavily disillusioned as it is. even if there -was- an actual campaign i still wouldn't believe they were actually going to do any of the shit. they controlled house-senate-executive and that 15$ minimum wage somehow just couldn't happen, but then they wanted to blame republicans later, as though they hadn't literally just not done it when they absolutely could
     
     same with all their shit. biden kept trying to tape shit on in bizzare illegal ways as though he wanted them to get shot down. congress could have refactored student loans with a law and it would have been legal that way. but nope.
     
     hell, i even talked to people about this at the time and a lot of people seem supportive of the idea of refactoring to basic interest and then refinancing existing loans to the new goalposts. this is like the easiest shit ever i did this as a nerd on the internet and these people are paid full time to just TALK TO PEOPLE.

     Warp speed, the scamdemic response, "draining the swamp" and filling it with Goldman Sachs criminals, banning bump stocks, assassinating an Iranian general (likely for Israel) ... Orange Man wasn't as evil as the media mind virus made him into, but he was really not that great either.

     Everything becomes two party eventually, even in election systems that try to prevent it (ranking, mmp, instant-runoff, etc.) It's follow stuff we just see in nature.
     
     Are all civilizations destined to collapse at some point? Seems unavoidable.

     @djsumdog the goldman sachs thing, i know why that happened. his usual way of doing things is to just hire people who look good on paper and let them do their thing. then just fire them later if they piss you off or try to cheapen the wrong thing. (he has fired people before for suggesting not polishing the brass as often in the hotel.)
     
     i'll concede half a point because the political asylum is heavily entrenched to prevent you from being able to make a difference. you *can't* just fire somebody most of the time, for various reasons.
     
     warpspeed, well. i have a medical affinity. i absolutely would have told them to go to hell. :neocat_woozy: but i know what happens when you play fast and loose with shit

     @djsumdog @thendrix i have talked about removing some of the safeties as well. but those weren't the ones about having to prove safety and efficacy, they were the ones where 'ethics boards' were not allowing R&D to even do an informed consent trial for things like literally regrowing your fucking cochlea folicles
