@djsumdog the goldman sachs thing, i know why that happened. his usual way of doing things is to just hire people who look good on paper and let them do their thing. then just fire them later if they piss you off or try to cheapen the wrong thing. (he has fired people before for suggesting not polishing the brass as often in the hotel.)

i'll concede half a point because the political asylum is heavily entrenched to prevent you from being able to make a difference. you *can't* just fire somebody most of the time, for various reasons.
