   Anybody here who knows the modern wire nuts?

   I understand the supply will click on, but can it be removed also?

     Yea I have both in my toolbox. The lever ones you can reuse and I have them on several electric outlets. I think the others are locked in. You can probably use a pick tool to de-pin it and not lose any wire length. But if not, it will have to be cut.
     
     Lever nuts are great; way better than the twist connectors. But they are bulkier and can be more annoying in some electrical boxes.

     I have those connectors, which I have been told are superior to wire nuts, so if I were sufficiently German, or anal, but I repeat myself, I should snip off the one time use connectors, and use the proper ones.

     Wago seems to be a known brand, and I got generic ones.

     Gotta give it to the Europeans to standardize an overspecced (and admittedly better, but more expensive) wire connector, meanwhile the Americans are like "screw this cheap-to-produce metal cone on, just don't pull on it. YOLO"
