Concert survival tips please! We’re going to Stray Kids next week and have never been to anything like a stadium concert before (it’s also our first KPop concert). We really don’t know what to expect: how early do we need to show up? How can we make the most of it? What should we avoid? Any advice would be awesome!
Edit: Our 9yo is going with us, too.

@rLok also don't count on getting lightsticks at the concert, I find that tends to sell out first. I get mine from Happy Town instead

@rLok fans often will have organised for some sort of event, they will usually pass things out to fans outside or as you go in the door

@rLok for concerts at Rod Laver everyone arrived super early, but they also had merch setup outside there. Lining up early wasn't an issue. But Marvel is on a busy street and I don't think it would be a great idea to line up early, however I've also never been so I'm really not sure on that matter. Been wondering it myself cause I do want to hit merch, which tends to sell out quick

@rLok I've never been to Marvel stadium so can't offer advice specific to that but the doors will open at 5:30pm. If you want merch I suggest hitting merch as soon as doors open. Don't bring much with you, whatever you bring has to fit under the seat. No glass allowed. Lightsticks recommended! After merch, before concert starts just chill, chat with other fans if you want

@Musicappreciator7 do you think it’s advisable to be there much before doors open?
Good tip about the bag: my usual carry around bag probably won’t fit under the seat, so I’ll have to take something else

@rLok more generally, I'm not sure if you mask in large crowds or not, but I do for concerts. I bring a couple masks and swap out after an hour. They plan to have the stadium roof open, but I'm still planning to mask up

@cinderdazzle612 @rLok the whole venue is assigned seating for both the Melbourne & Sydney concerts.
I expect that most people will stand during the actual performances. But I'm very thankful that I'll have the option to sit for a bit when I need to

@rLok oh interesting do they have dedicated seated sections? Like at the AgustD concert the floor was standing but everyone else with seats stood basically the whole time too.

@rLok high fidelity ear plugs like Loop for both you and kiddo! Check all policies for water and bags. Lately I can’t bring lids into the venue even though I purchased a water in the venue. Do you know how you’ll get to the venue?

@rLok the most overwhelming parts in my opinion is getting to the venue and leaving. In the US You can expect to be on your feet the entire concert in some sections. I’m a big big fan of the ear plugs. And you’ll need to plan getting you the venue early if you are hoping for merch.

@rLok I'm also gonna add that if you do decide to try making a few freebies, I've always had amazing reactions to just handing stuff out to the people immediately close to me.
I've done random stickers from sketchy packets I've bought from Etsy or a kpop store; keychains or bracelets (even 5-10 is more than enough!); buttons... Extra photocards to hand out, including homemade ones, are always so loved! So even if you guys only come up with a tiny handful of things, it would be a huge hit - esp from a 9-year-old ;)

@lookitmychicken @rLok My friend brought a handful to the SVT concert movie last month (2 months ago?) and asked our seatmates "want a random photocard?" It was fun cause she offered them face-down to choose from 😆 I'm not an album/photocard collector but I've def ordered fan-made ones on Etsy to send in xmas cards lol

@rLok you'll be able to get something to eat. it's probable that some of the listed places won't be open the whole time. most of the places that sell chips, burgers, etc will be open. unfortunately the food tends to be overpriced and not very good.

Do we know if all of these food places are likely to be open? Is it viable to plan on getting something to eat inside between 5:30 and 7:30 while waiting for the show to start?
