     @Paradox The car accident was a shame. Every one of the dude's designs changed computing, and he had pushed back against massively parallel systems for a while, and he'd announced that he was going to do one before his death. Same shit happened to Gunpei Yokoi.

     @Paradox Didn't run too hot, allegedly; the one with the waterfall on the logo, that one did but Cray hated fans so he built that water cooling unit and turned it into a fountain with a waterfall. :craylol:

     @Paradox Every time Seymour Cray designed a computer, it was the world's fastest computer. He also liked to build a couch into it, things like that, so you could lounge on top of it while it cranked out simulations for nuclear bombs.

     @shibao@misskey.bubbletea.dev @p@fsebugoutzone.org we about that gpd win max 2 life at the moment. the uConsole was cool but like, it's half way between the size of a first gen gpd pocket and the winmax2 I now have and just ehhhhh, the winmax 2 is smaller than most netbooks, has really good screen, really good keyboard, 32gb ram, 8core 16thread amd APU, it's kinda hard to justify using almost any other portable now.
