   I just got a pair for my wife and son, they seem like really good radios on first impression. Chinkfangs have come a LONG way.
   
   Why should you order a pair instead of just one? What happens if you need to coordinate with someone and they don't have one? How are you going to practice with one of you only have one? You can even use a pair and cables to turn the pair into a portable repeater station.

     My dad taught me to just throw the summons in the garbage as soon as you get it in the mail. If you never make the government aware you received the summons by responding to it, you won't get in trouble.

     @Hoss @Myshkin @tyler @TeaTootler @gentoobro Yeah, I think it's comparable. What's funny is I looked into this a while ago. I couldn't find any examples of anyone being punished for not showing up for jury summons, but lots of people getting charged for not showing up after being selected. Basically if you never respond, they don't care, but the moment you do you can very quickly become a pain in their side worth punishing. So the lesson is don't look for attention and you won't get any.

     @Hoss @Myshkin @tyler @TeaTootler @gentoobro I might be wrong, but I remembering seeing a YouTube video that said the FCC basically does not prosecute these people, and the source was that he had a list of FCC offenses over a certain time, and there were no instances of someone being charged for using a Baofeng without a loicence. It effectively does not care so long as you are not being a faggot and intentionally disrupting people.

     Similar to how ignoring your jury summons is illegal, but so many people do it that the government has never bothered actually prosecuting anybody for skipping out.

     I’ve studied for the test a few times but still haven’t taken it, I really should. I just turned on my FT-60 the other morning for the first time in months. I hope to catch the fever again and finally take the damn test.

     You underestimate the sheer volume of retarded frivolous civil litigation that gets filed every day. It dwarfs the amount of criminal cases that go to trial.
