A free market will always regulate itself at optimal.
When governments starts butting in here and there it ends with disaster.
Why would politicians, ideology driven individuals be able to understand the market?
They don't.
3 Gigantic "green" projects in north of Sweden will soon be bankrupt. Green Steel, Hybrit, H20. Steel and battery. Total fail. Billions wasted.

I did. It does not disagree with what I said.
I just think free markets are always better than regulated and restricted markets. Someone here said laissez faire is the cause of Dutch Disease, AND that laissez faire doesn't work. I disagree somewhat on the first point, as the level of government involvement in international trade is significant, as is the foreign aid aspect.So how can you blame laissez faire when it's NOT?

@Vox @amerika @h4890 @EvolLove @cjd @FourOh-LLC run your same model with zero gov't intervention. the same effect would happen. it has nothing to do with gov't involvement and everything to do with an over inflated price level. you currency inflates due to massive exports of that good (usually raw resources) causing your manufactured goods to be relatively too expensive, crushing that sector of you economy.

I don't think so, but I'm an armchair economist at best. Dutch Disease can be attributed partly to an influx of foreign aid when a country discovers something tasty in the ground, and that is definitely government interference.

That doesn't make sense. Laissez faire advocates for no subsidies or other government interference in markets. The Dutch Disease arises in large part due to things like foreign aid and currency manipulation, which are products of government meddling.
