@bob @adhdeanasl Really wish this was a default option upon posting an image. Most people (myself included) tend to forget alt text.

Most are throwing hate at a tool so much that they refuse to even see if that hate is warranted in all cases.
Alt text via AI does MUCH better than I could even dream of doing and I feel so blessed that I discovered I could use it that way.

It's as simple as uploading the image and asking "describe this image for the visually impaired". If there's something specific you want mentioned to add context to the image say "describe this image for the visually impaired, make sure to describe it as...." Or "...make sure to add the context of..." And a short explanation. It will understand.
For an example, I've been uploading screenshots of Minecraft on a very specific popular server. I tell it "describe this image for the visually impaired, make sure to describe it as a screenshot from the 2b2t Minecraft server" and it knew exactly what the server was about and how to describe it 100% correctly.

Also, while I tend to write my own descriptions, fast descriptions would let me post/discuss more images - there's so many times I see something interesting I want to share or discuss (or even something I've created) and I feel too tired to do an in-depth alt-text
And that's not discounting personal, human-made descriptions and all the love and attention that goes into that. Those are awesome and the best, still, *for* all that goes into them

If done through ChatGPT yourself, it's very customizable to your needs.

I believe the @IceCubesApp will do this for you as well, which was one of the reasons I enjoyed using it.
