Look at this good, brave boy at the vet. Granted, he was trying to hide under the towel, hence the mess on his fur, but he was very sweet and put up with his whole exam and his shots. His weight is okay, his teeth were fine, and he's got all his vaccines now.
He's under the sofa like "The horror, the horror," but he's made it through another wellness visit.

@MaryAustinBooks @WhiteCatTamer a friend had a bag that you could zip the cat into, with its head out. Then there were little zipped up home so you could pull each paw out one at a time. Kept the damage contained

@MaryAustinBooks My cat is also very brave at the vet in the same way that a berserker warrior is brave in battle.
But the vet gives me free bandaids, which is nice.

My former stray, who was abandoned by her first owner as a kitten, is sweet and normally well behaved at the vet. But her claws kept her alive as a kitten, and in the 13 years I've had her she's never submitted to toenail clipping. Anything else, yes, but not that. Even the vet had to sedate her to do it. She is 8.5 pounds of berserk warrior terror if you try to clip her nails!

@MaryAustinBooks @WhiteCatTamer I can never imagine a determined cat submitting to a towel. The bag didn't require holding on for dear life. You did have to be very wary of the teeth.
It's not really fair for something to have so many pointy ends
