knrd_z is an interesting guy because he's racist, but a very educated racist... a classical racist, if you will.

@rlier23 sure, and any mobile food operation is "similar" but the difference is the hotdog stand usually will have a compartment where you can choose your own chilled bottled drink to go along with your heated hotdog.
He's making a point about IQ here, so what do you think it is?

@sickburnbro i was wondering what the fuck he was talking about with the plastic cups and coke
It's fruit salad... i mean it is a job the same way having a hot dog stand is :what2:

@nugger @sickburnbro Visit Europe and count the number of times some gypsy kid tries to sell you tissues for 5 cents more than what he stole them from and people peddling 2euro pens and 1euro iconography to get their fix.

@Dicer @nugger I mean yeah, I have seen the fruit cup thing in latin american countries, and sadly in new york state recently.
The buying of big bottles of fizzy, same.

@rlier23 There are a few that do that yes. But if you spend time in any latin american country as a foreigner and pay attention you will see lots of things like this.
Yes, the windshield cleaning is another example of this.
The point is that this is that he is making a point about IQ here, and you are trying hard to miss it though I have been guiding you in the right way. The question is why?

@sickburnbro the thing about using the fruit salad is that it isnt that simple
México has a Lot of fértile soil so most fruit salad stands use the fruit they themselves grow, since it's a salad that means they also use other fruits, yogurt, nuts and honey and they also use coolers so the fruit starts fresh
It isnt as easy as You may think
If You want a better example pick idk the guys that stand in the traffic lights waiting for car to stop so they can "clean" the windshield

@rlier23 Yes, it does, and thats *****exactly***** why it's the example that is being used.

@sickburnbro because the example You were using was one of the worst You couldve used when theres plenty others that fit the bill better
Putting up a stand and making a living requires more brain than windshield cleaners or the guys at parking lots that are there to "guard" the cars

@rlier23 the point is that selling cola from a bottle and making a profit that way is obviously showing a small amount of self-actualization. But the level of mental effort it takes to do that versus what it takes to run a hot dog truck in NYC are vastly different.
You need to compily with health and sanity laws, you have to maintain a cart, you have to keep a supply of propane, you have to pay licences, etc, etc.
Something a person with 90IQ can do in a country of 85IQ is not something someone can do with 90IQ for a job that needs 100IQ in a population of 100IQ.
The solution is either: stop enforcing health laws on immigrants ( in progress) or give them all full benefits (also in progress)

@supersid333 @rlier23 again, you are looking at this without the lens of "what do people do in a country of 60 IQ"

@rlier23 @sickburnbro He's suggesting that the people selling cups of tea/coke aren't working a job as they're of similar strokes to things like the windshield washers you suggest. They're upcharging on things that the customer could reasonably turn around and buy from the places the seller was sourcing it from for a better deal.
He backtracked saying that putting Job in quotation marks was rude to street sellers who actually put in effort, like Mexican Fruit cup sellers, because it was being subtly implied to street venders as a whole instead of just the previously mentioned "jobs".
